- 1 lb. ground beef or turkey
- 3 cans tomatoes or tomato sauce
- 2 cans kidney beans
- 1 pkg. chili mix (I use McCormick's)
- 1 tsp. and 1 Tbsp. chili powder (optional, for spicier chili)
Directions

1Brown meat until crumbly.

2Drain off most of fat.

3Pour into a large pot or crock-pot and add rest of ingredients.

4Bring to a boil; then lower heat and simmer for approximately 2 hours or until of desired consistency.

5The tomato sauce will make a thicker chili than the tomatoes.
