- 1 c. pinto beans
- 5 c. tomatoes
- 3 or 4 chopped green peppers
- 4 c. chopped onions
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. salad oil
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 c. chopped parsley
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 2 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 lb. ground lean pork
- 1 small can chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. cumin seed
- 1 1/2 tsp. monosodium glutamate
Directions

1Combine cooked beans and tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes. Saute green peppers in salad oil for 5 minutes.

2Add onions; cook until tender, stirring often.

3Add garlic and parsley; melt butter and saute meat for 15 minutes.

4Add meat to onion mixture; stir in chili powder and cook 10 minutes.

5Add this to beans and then add spices.

6Cover and simmer 45 minutes.

7Skim fat off top.

8Flavor will improve if set in refrigerator overnight.

9May be frozen indefinitely.
