Chilies Rellenos Bake

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 8 (two small cans) whole green chilies
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- taco sauce
- 1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded Longhorn cheese
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- dash of pepper
Directions

1In skillet, cook beef and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender.

2Drain off excess fat.

3Add the first 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper.

4Place half the chilies in a 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish.

5Sprinkle with cheese.

6Top with meat mixture.

7Arrange remaining chilies atop.

8Combine eggs, milk, salt and the dash of pepper.

9Beat until smooth.

10Pour over chilies. Bake in a 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted just off the center comes out clean.

11Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

12Pass the taco sauce.
