Chilled Cherry Soup

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. cherries, halved and pitted
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 pt. double or heavy cream
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. red wine
- 1 lemon
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 6 1/2 oz. water
- whipped cream
Directions

1Cook the cloves, salt, sugar, cinnamon and the juice of the lemon for 1/2 hour in the water.

2Drain, reserving the liquid.

3Add the wine.

4Blend the flour well with the cream and add to the liquid.

5Bring to the boil.

6Add the cherries, reserving some for garnish.

7Bring to the boil again.

8Serve chilled.

9Decorate with whipped cream and cherries.
