Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small can mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion, chopped in large pieces
  • 1/2 medium green pepper, chopped in large pieces
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 can tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 c. elbow macaroni, cooked with salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Mix beef, mushrooms, onion, green pepper and oregano in a large skillet; cook slowly.

    When meat appears to be done (approximately 1/2 hour), pour off liquid and add tomatoes, tomato sauce and chili powder.

    Let cook about 20 to 30 minutes longer on a very low heat.

    Add the cooked macaroni into meat mixture. Makes approximately 8 servings.
