  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1-1/2 lb. hot sausage
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 green pepper or plabono pepper, chopped
  • 3 large onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp. dry parsley
  • 1 large can tomatoes and small Rotel
  • 1/3 c. chili powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 3/4 tsp. Accent
  • 1-1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 can beer
  • 3 cans kidney beans (1 red, 1 dark red, 1 white)

Directions

    Brown beef and sausage in heavy pot.

    Saute peppers in oil for 5 minutes.

    Then add onions and garlic.

    Cook until tender.

    Add tomatoes and parsley.

    Stir in chili powder.

    Cook 10 minutes and add remaining ingredients EXCEPT beans.

    Cook covered.

    Simmer 1 hour.

    Then add beans.

    Let cook on lowest heat for another 1 hour. Stir occasionally.

    Keep on lowest heat.
