- 3 cans whole beets
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 level Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. vinegar
- 24 whole cloves
- 3 Tbsp. catsup
- 3 Tbsp. cooking oil
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. beet juice
Directions

1In a large pan, dump in sugar and cornstarch.

2Mix well.

3Add vinegar, cloves, catsup, oil and vanilla.

4Stir well again.

5Add beat juice. Cut beets into bite size pieces and add to fluid. Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens.

6Cool and refrigerate.
