  • 3 (No. 303) cans sliced beets (save 1 1/2 c. liquid)
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 24 whole cloves
  • 3 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • dash of salt

Directions

    Add beets, 1 1/2 cups liquid beet juice and all remaining ingredients.

    Cook over medium heat in saucepan until thickened. Cool.

    Refrigerate.
