Ingredients

  • 1 c. shredded cabbage
  • 3/4 c. chopped celery
  • 3/4 c. chopped water chestnuts
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped, cooked chicken or pork
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped, cooked shrimp
  • 4 Tbsp. finely chopped scallions
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 4 Tbsp. soya sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sherry
  • 1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger

Directions

    Put celery and cabbage in 1/2 cup water.

    Bring to a boil. Drain thoroughly.

    Heat oil in a large skillet.

    Add shrimp and meat.

    Cook 2 or 3 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Add remaining ingredients and continue cooking and stirring until delicately browned.

    Cool.
