- 6 c. water
- 4 c. walnuts
- 3/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Bring water to boil; add nuts and boil 1 to 2 minutes.

2Drain in colander and rinse under hot water.

3Drain.

4Mix with sugar and let stand 5 minutes until sugar dissolves.

5Heat 1-inch of oil in skillet to 350°.

6Add half the nuts and fry 5 minutes or until golden.

7Spread on brown paper to drain.

8Repeat with last half of nuts.

9Salt, if desired.

10Keeps in airtight container for 2 months.
