Chinese Style Hamburger Hash

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 2 Tbsp. oil or shortening
  • 2 medium size onions, chopped
  • 1 1/4 c. chopped celery
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 c. warm water (I use a little more)
  • 2/3 c. uncooked rice
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can Chinese noodles

Directions

    Brown meat in hot oil until crumbly.

    Add chopped onion, celery and soups.

    Rinse out cans with the warm water and add to mixture.

    Stir in uncooked rice, soy sauce and pepper.

    Turn into a large lightly greased casserole.

    Cover and bake at 350° for 30 minutes; remove cover and continue baking for 30 minutes longer. Cover the mixture with the noodles and continue baking for 15 minutes.
