Chip 'N Cherry Bread

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. candied cherry halves
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates (coarsely snipped)

Directions

    Beat eggs and stir in sugar.

    Mix dry ingredients and combine with nuts, chips and fruit.

    Fold in egg mixture.

    Pour into 2 greased bread pans.

    Place pan of water on bottom rack of oven. Bake loaves on top rack of oven.

    Bake at 325° for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
