  • 1 unsliced loaf French bread
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 c. finely snipped chives

Directions

    Slash bread in 1 inch slices, cutting to but not through bottom crust.

    Blend together butter, cheese and chives; spread on one side of each bread slice.

    Wrap in foil; freeze.

    Before serving: Thaw bread in foil at room temperature 2-3 hrs.

    Heat on edge of grill 20-30 min; turn frequently (or possibly heat in oven at 400 degrees for 20 min).
