  • 12 cup butter, soft
  • 14 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup flour, sifted
  • 12 cup almonds, toasted and finely chopped
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsel
  • 34 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted (optional)

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350F.

    Combine butter, sugar, water, vanilla, and salt and beat till creamy.

    Add the flour and almonds and mix well.

    Add the chocolate morsels.

    Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 350 F for 12 minutes.

    Roll while warm in confectioners' sugar.
