- 12 cup butter, soft
- 14 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup flour, sifted
- 12 cup almonds, toasted and finely chopped
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsel
- 34 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted (optional)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350F.

2Combine butter, sugar, water, vanilla, and salt and beat till creamy.

3Add the flour and almonds and mix well.

4Add the chocolate morsels.

5Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.

6Bake at 350 F for 12 minutes.

7Roll while warm in confectioners' sugar.
