Chocolate Banana Eggrolls

6 ingredients
5 steps

Ingredients

  • 4 whole Sheets Phyllo Dough, Thawed
  • 2 ounces, weight Bittersweet Chocolate
  • 1 whole Banana
  • 2 teaspoons Brown Sugar, Divided
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon, Divided
  • 1/3 cups Heavy Cream

Directions

  1. 1
Allow phyllo dough to thaw completely before using. Lay 4 sheets out lengthwise and spray with cooking spray. Position two of the sheets on top of each other. Cut in half from top to bottom so you will end up with 4 rectangles total.
  2. 2
Sprinkle chocolate on the bottom edge of each rectangle. I used Ghirardelli bittersweet morsels (four 1/2 ounce morsels). Cut a banana in half lengthwise and then in half again. Lay on top of the chocolate. Sprinkle the bananas with half of the brown sugar.
  3. 3
Fold in the sides and roll up like an egg roll. Spray again and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon. Place each eggroll on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in a 350°F oven for 12 minutes. Cool 10 minutes.
  4. 4
While cooling, beat cream, remaining brown sugar and remaining cinnamon in a mixer for about 4-5 minutes until peaks form.
  5. 5
Cut each eggroll in half and serve with cream. Enjoy!
