Ingredients

  • 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/3 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 2 c. uncooked rolled oats
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Melt chocolate and margarine in top of double boiler over boiling water.

    Add all other ingredients and mix thoroughly. Spread mixture evenly in greased 8-inch square pan and sprinkle with nuts.

    Bake in hot oven (400°) for 12 minutes or until brown. Cool on cake rack.
