  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 4 tsp. soda
  • 4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 7 c. sifted flour
  • 1 pkg. chocolate bits
  • chopped nuts (if you wish)

Directions

    Cream the sugar, oleo and shortening.

    Add eggs and vanilla, beating well.

    Add dry ingredients, mixing well.

    Add chocolate bits and nuts.

    Drop onto cookie sheet.

    Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
