  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1/2 lb. chocolate (bittersweet)
  • 1/2 lb. sugar
  • 1/2 lb. whole eggs
  • 1/2 lb. cake flour, sifted
  • 1/2 lb. pecans, chopped
  • vanilla flavoring to taste

Directions

    Place eggs and sugar in mixer.

    Put on slow.

    Add butter and melted chocolate.

    Scrape down. Remove and mix flour by hand; add vanilla and pecans.

    Put into greased sheet pan and bake at 350° until slightly firm to the hand, about 30 to 40 minutes.

    Makes 4 dozen.
