Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1-1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Powdered sugar
  • 8 oz. nonpareil (chocolate candy)

Directions

    Combine all ingredients except powdered sugar and candy.

    Chill dough 30 minutes.

    Preheat oven to 350F.

    Shape into 1-inch balls, roll in powdered sugar.

    Place on cookie sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.

    Remove from oven and immediately place a candy piece in center of each cookie.

    Cool 1 minute and remove from sheet.

    Cool completely.
