  • 1 Pillsbury devil's food cake mix
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 (21 oz.) can strawberry pie filling
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 10 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Combine cake mix, almond extract and eggs.

    Mix well.

    Fold in strawberry pie filling.

    Pour into cake pan and bake for 25 to 35 minutes until done.

    In a saucepan, combine sugar, milk and butter.

    Bring to a boil and boil for one minute.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in the chocolate chips and stir until smooth.

    Pour frosting over warm cake.

    Allow to cool 1 1/2 hours before serving.
