Ingredients

  • 4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 oz. butter or 1/2 stick
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Heat milk, butter and chocolate in double boiler until mixture almost boils and chocolate is melted.

    Stir until smooth.

    Remove from heat and cool until lukewarm.

    Place mixture in large mixing bowl.

    Add eggs, sugar and vanilla; mix well.

    Sift flour, baking soda and salt together, adding a little at a time until flour is added and mix well.

    Pour into 8 x 12-inch baking pan.

    Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350°.
