  • 1/2 c. Crisco oil
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Combine and boil 1 stick oleo, oil and water.

    Pour over sugar, flour and cocoa; then add eggs, buttermilk, salt, soda and vanilla.

    Mix well by spoon.

    Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.

    Bake 20 minutes at 350°.
