  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 15/16 cups mascarpone cheese or softened butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 vanilla bean seeds scraped
  • 3 ounces marsala wine
  • salt
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa bittersweet, powdered

    Preheat the oven 180C.

    Beat the eggs with the sugar until light and foamy, approximately 10 minutes.

    Add the mascarpone cheese, the vanilla seeds, a pinch of salt, and the wine. If the batter is too thick, add a tablespoon of milk.

    Sift the flour with the baking powder and the cocoa and carefully fold the mixture into the batter.

    Butter and flour a cake pan or line it with wax paper and add the batter.

    Bake for approximately 45 minutes.

    Remove the cake from the oven, let it cool completely, and sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
