- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. butter
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
Directions

1Combine flour and sugar; mix well and set aside.

2Combine water, butter and cocoa in heavy saucepan.

3Bring to boil, stirring constantly.

4Gradually stir in flour mixture.

5Stir in buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.

6Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking pan.

7Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

8While warm, prick surface and spread with Chocolate Candy Frosting.
