- 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 1 c. nuts, chopped
- 1 c. chocolate chips
Directions

1In pan, combine caramels and 1/3 cup milk.

2Cook until candy melts.

3Set aside.

4Grease 13 x 9-inch pan.

5Combine cake mix, melted margarine, 1/3 cup milk and nuts.

6Mix until dough holds together.

7Press 1/2 of dough into pan.

8Bake 6 minutes at 350°. Sprinkle chips.

9Spread with melted caramel mix.

10Crumble second half of dough over all.

11Bake 15 to 18 minutes.

12Cool.

13Cut in bars.
