Chocolate Caramel Nuts

  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped roasted hazelnuts
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 2 tsp finely grated orange zest
  • 9 oz dark chocolate, melted

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 2 (12-cup) mini muffin pans with paper liners.

    Combine nuts, sugar and orange juice in a small bowl. Spread mixture out onto a greased baking tray. Bake, stirring occasionally, for 15 mins, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and stir in orange zest. Let cool.

    Combine nut mixture with melted chocolate in a medium bowl. Divide between paper liners then set aside at room temperature until set.
