  • 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
  • 34 cup cocoa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 12 cups all-purpose flour, plus
  • 13 cup all-purpose flour
  • 13 cup chopped almonds or 13 cup pecans
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 12 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped maraschino cherry, drained

    Heat oven to 350.

    Grease a 13x9 baking pan.

    Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat; stir in cocoa until smooth.

    Remove from heat.

    Add sugar, 3 eggs, 1-1/2 cups flour, and nuts; mix well.

    Pour into prepared pan, bake 20 minutes.

    Whisk together remaining egg, 1/3 cup flour, milk, and almond extract.

    Pour over baked layer; sprinkle chocolate chips and cherries over top.
