  • 8 unbeaten egg yolks
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. egg whites
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

    Mix cocoa with boiling water; set aside to cool.

    Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt in large bowl.
