- 1 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup sugar white
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups flour, all-purpose
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips up to 2 cups
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375F (190C).

2Mix shorting, sugars, eggs and vanilla in a bowl.

3Mix flour, soda and salt in another bowl.

4Mix wet ingredients and dry ingredients, then stir in chocolate chips.

5Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheets.

6Bake 10 to 12 minutes.

7Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes.

8Remove cookies from pans onto wire rack and let cool completely.

9Store in air-tight container.
