  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. vanilla flavor instant pudding
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

    Combine flour and baking soda; set aside.

    Combine butter, sugars, vanilla and pudding mix in a large mixer bowl; beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs.

    Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts (batter will be stiff). Drop by heaping teaspoonful about 2-inches apart onto greased cookie sheets.

    Bake at 375° for 9 to 9 1/2 minutes or until browned. Yields 4 1/2 dozen cookies, 2 1/2-inches in diameter.
