Chocolate Chunk Pecan Pie

- 1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell
- 3 large eggs
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. pecan halves, coarsely chopped
- 3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chunks
Directions

1Combine eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla in a medium bowl with a wire whisk.

2Stir in pecans.

3Sprinkle chocolate chunks over bottom of pie crust.

4Pour pecan mixture into pie shell.

5Bake in preheated 350° oven for 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted 2-inches from center comes out with little bits of filling attached.

6Cool 2 hours on wire rack.
