Chocolate Chunk Pecan Pie

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. pecan halves, coarsely chopped
  • 3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chunks

Directions

    Combine eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla in a medium bowl with a wire whisk.

    Stir in pecans.

    Sprinkle chocolate chunks over bottom of pie crust.

    Pour pecan mixture into pie shell.

    Bake in preheated 350° oven for 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted 2-inches from center comes out with little bits of filling attached.

    Cool 2 hours on wire rack.
