- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 10 oz. pkg. chocolate bits
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and vanilla, beating until stiff.

2Sift cocoa onto egg white mixture folding gently until just combined.

3Fold in chocolate bits.

4Place parchment paper on cookie sheets and drop batter by heaping tablespoonfuls onto paper.

5Bake at 300° for 35 to 45 minutes or just until dry.

6Cool on wire rack.
