  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 sticks melted oleo
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Sift first 4 ingredients together.

    Bring oleo, cocoa and water mixture to rolling boil and then pour over flour mixture. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.

    Mix well and bake on 9 x 13-inch cookie sheet at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
