Chocolate Cornflake Confections

Ingredients

  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 c. each cornflakes and coconut
  • 12 candied red cherries, cut in quarters

Directions

    In top of double boiler, melt chocolate pieces.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in milk and extract until smooth and blended.

    Stir in cornflakes and coconut until well combined.

    Drop by teaspoon onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.

    Gently press cherry piece in middle of each.

    Bake in preheated 350° oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until firm to touch.

    Remove immediately to racks to cool.

    Makes 4 dozen cookies.
