  • 1/2 c. soft shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 c. thick sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 3/4 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cream together shortening and sugar.

    Add eggs and beat well. Blend in melted chocolate. Add sour cream and vanilla; mix well. Sift dry ingredients; add to first mixture.
