Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 7 oz. Marshmallow Creme
  • 24 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions

    Put first 3 ingredients in large bowl that can withstand heat. Mix sugar and milk in a large saucepan.

    Bring to a simmer at moderate heat, stirring constantly.

    Reduce heat to just maintain that simmer and continue to cook for 8 minutes, stirring constantly as mixture scorches easily.

    Add sugar and milk mixture to first 3 ingredients; stir quickly until creamy.

    Add vanilla.

    Place in greased 9 x 13-inch dish and refrigerate to cool and harden. Remove from refrigerator about 15 minutes before cutting for easier cutting.

    May add one cup of any type of nuts when vanilla is added, if desired.
