Ingredients
- 5 c. sugar
- 1 large (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1/4 lb. butter or margarine
- 12 oz. (3/4 of 16 oz.) jar Marshmallow Fluff
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. walnuts (optional)
- 2 large (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Directions

1Combine first five ingredients in 4-quart saucepan.

2Stir over low heat until blended.

3Bring to boil over moderate heat, bring careful not to mistake air bubbles for boiling, then boil slowly, stirring constantly for 5 minutes (to soft ball stage).

4Remove from heat; stir in chocolate and vanilla (nuts) until chocolate is melted.

5Pour into two buttered pans (8 x 8-inches or 9 x 9-inches) and cool.

6Cut before fudge hardens too much.

7Yields 5 pounds.
