- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 to 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, cut up
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. corn syrup
- dash of salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. broken nuts
Directions

1Place milk and chocolate over low heat, stirring, until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth.

2Stir in sugar, corn syrup and salt.

3Cook gently to 236°, stirring from bottom occasionally. Remove from heat.

4Add butter; cool without stirring to lukewarm. Add vanilla.

5Beat until thick and no longer glossy.

6Stir in nuts.

7Turn onto waxed paper and shape into 12-inch roll; chill and slice.

8May be spread in buttered pan and cut into squares. Yield:
