- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. chocolate cocoa
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Directions

1Mix cocoa and sugar.

2Add milk and butter (do not melt butter).

3Stir together.

4Heat to boil in thick boiler.

5Boil for 4 1/2 minutes.

6Do not stir after it starts boiling.

7Maintain a rolling boil, but do not burn.

8Place in sink of cold water; add flavoring.

9Stir until icing begins to thicken.

10Spread on layers. If icing becomes too thick, add a little water.

11Will ice four layers.
