Chocolate Nut Bars

  • 1 3/4 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 c. margarine or butter, melted
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    Combine crumbs and margarine; press firmly on bottom of 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

    Bake 8 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350°.

    In small saucepan, melt 1 cup chocolate chips with milk and vanilla.

    Spread chocolate mixture over prepared crust.

    Top with remaining 1 cup chocolate chips, then nuts; press down firmly.

    Bake 25 to 30 minutes.

    Cool. Chill if desired.

    Cut into bars.

    Store loosely covered at room temperature.
