Chocolate Orange Cake

- 4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 Tbsp. cocoa powder
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 2 c. sifted pastry flour
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. orange juice
- 3 egg whites, whipped stiff
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2In a double boiler, melt the chocolate. In a bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, baking powder and flour.

3In another bowl, cream the butter with the sugar until very light.

4Add dry ingredients and the orange juice, alternating 1/3 of each at a time.

5Blend in the melted chocolate.

6Fold in the egg whites.
