  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. cold milk
  • 2 1/2 c. hot milk, scalded
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. heavy cream, whipped or 1 pkg. prepared topping mix, whipped

Directions

    In 2-quart saucepan, combine cocoa, cornstarch, sugar, salt and cold milk.

    Stir until smooth.

    Gradually add hot milk, stirring constantly.

    Heat over medium-low heat.

    Stir constantly until mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.

    Cool; stir in vanilla.

    Place layers of pudding and whipped cream or topping mixture in parfait glasses to serve.
