- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- 2/3 c. sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 c. salted Spanish peanuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- colored sugar (optional)
- candied cherries (optional)
Directions

1Partially melt chocolate pieces in the top of a double boiler over hot, not boiling, water.

2Remove from hot water and stir rapidly until chocolate is entirely melted.

3Stir in milk, peanuts and vanilla.

4Drop from a teaspoon onto waxed paper.

5Chill until firm enough to handle.

6Shape each into a ball.

7If desired, decorate with colored sugar or candied cherries.

8Chill again until firm.

9Makes about 4 dozen.
