  • 1 (8 ounce) package semisweet baking chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 14 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 12 cups pecans, halved
  • 9 inches pie crusts

    Preheat the oven to 350.

    Melt chocolate and butter in a large microwave bowl on high for 1-2 minutes or until butter is melted.

    Stir until the chocolate is completely melted.

    Brush the bottom of the pie crust with a small amount of the beaten egg.

    Stir sugar, corn syrup, eggs and vanilla into the chocolate mixture until well blended.

    Stir in nuts.

    Pour into pie crust.
