- 1 single pastry crust (9-inch)
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 12 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions

1Heat oven to 375F.

2FILLING: In the bowl of an electric mixer beat eggs at low speed until blended.

3Stir in sugar, corn syrup, butter, vanilla and salt.

4Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.

5Pour into unbaked pie crust.

6Bake 55-60 minutes or until set.

7Cover edge of pie with foil if necessary, to prevent overbrowning.

8Remove pie to cooling rack to cool completely.

9Cool to room temperature before serving.

10Refrigerate leftover pie.
