Chocolate Pecan Pie

   chocolate with butter in the top of a double boiler over medium heat.

   Remove from water and cool slightly. Combine the eggs, sugar, salt, corn syrup and rum in a mixing bowl

   in the cooled chocolate and butter.

    Place pecans

    in the bottom of the pie shell and add the egg mixture. Bake in a preheated oven (350°) for 40 to 50 minutes.

    top should be soft and the center not quite set when

    the pie is shaken.

    Serve with whipped cream that barely holds a soft peak. Serves 6 or 8.
