- 1 1/4 c. pecan halves
- 1 Tbsp. soft butter
- 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions

1Press 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans into buttered 8-inch pie plate.

2Combine next 5 ingredients in a bowl; mix well.

3Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler, stirring constantly.

4Add to egg mixture; mix well.

5Pour into prepared pie dish.

6Sprinkle 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans over top of pie.

7Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.

8Serve with whipped cream.
