- 2 c. milk, scalded
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cocoa
- 5 Tbsp. flour
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 hunk butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 baked pie shell
Directions

1Put butter and sugar in top of double boiler. Add 1 1/2 cups milk and heat over boiling water until milk is scalded.

2Mix the flour and cocoa in 1/2 cup milk, then stir this mixture into contents of double boiler.

3Beat egg yolks.

4Stir a little of the hot mixture into eggs.

5Add eggs and vanilla to hot mixture.

6Stir until thick.

7Pour into pie shell. Cover with meringue made from egg whites.

8Brown in oven at 350°.
