  • 4 extra large eggs, separated
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 (5 oz.) can Pet evaporated milk
  • 3/4 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 deep dish pie shells

    Use double boiler.

    Beat egg yolks.

    Add sugar and mix.

    Add flour and cocoa.

    Mix.

    Add milk and water.

    Cook until thick. Stir occasionally.

    When thick, add vanilla.

    Pour into baked pie shells.

    Beat egg whites.

    Put on top of pie.

    Bake at 375° until golden.
