- 3 c. sugar
- 2 sticks margarine (Mrs. Filberts)
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 5 eggs (one at a time)
- 1 c. milk with 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 small (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup
Directions

1Cream together sugar, margarine and Crisco.

2Add eggs, one at a time.

3Add alternately the milk with vanilla, flour and baking powder.

4Add chocolate syrup last.

5Pour into greased and floured tube pan.

6Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or longer.

7Start in cold oven.
