  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine (Mrs. Filberts)
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 5 eggs (one at a time)
  • 1 c. milk with 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 small (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup

Directions

    Cream together sugar, margarine and Crisco.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Add alternately the milk with vanilla, flour and baking powder.

    Add chocolate syrup last.

    Pour into greased and floured tube pan.

    Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or longer.

    Start in cold oven.
